Rise With Christ

Rags to riches is good and true—

but not the end of what you’re due.

We learn the laws, we learn to win,

but Christ calls higher, calls us in.

Come out of the boat; take up His yoke.

He lifts the tired; He heals the broke.

Not merely to be rich or known,

but to let His power make you grown.

Not lone swimmers chasing praise—

but man and woman, twine in flesh always.

Hand in hand, you rise and stand,

and lift a family, and lift a land.

For God’s own glory is to crown you with light,

with truth that endures, with power that’s right.

Not riches that rust, nor treasures that rot,

But intelligence & eternal power—His gift, your lot.

Now what will you do—

rise to walk on water or swim with men?

With Christ, your weakness turns to strength,

and increase has no end.
